Question about 1991 Peugeot 405
I have a 1999 peugeot 306, the ventilation/ heating fan doesn't work. If i put 12v directly onto it the fan runs. The connecting loom from the car has 3 wires. Black, Red and a smaller cable which a assume run through the switches. Should any of these cables have voltage on or is there some sort of switching in the motor
Renew the whole unit ,the resistor in the motor unit is finished ,the thin wire is controling the feed into the motor via a earth resistance in the ballast resistor ,hence variable speed .But you should have a 12v supply via the red cable if you havent then thats your problem ,a loose connector ?? fuse ,fuse holder, broken wire
