Hi There is a bleed nipple at the slave cylinder attached to the bell housing .
There is a bolt on the side of gearbox about the middle take this bolt out and gearbox oil should be level with the hole DO THIS ON LEVEL GROUND
You either have a transmission or a torque converter problem. Check fluid for a discoloration or burnt smell. Then take it to AutoZone or similar and have them scan in for transmission codes. Then take it to a transmission shop for a complete diagnosed. This will save you money in the long run
The transmission dipstick will be closer to the firlewall on most vehicles It may have a handle with a picture of a transmission on it. You'll need to find the transmission drain plug if there is one. Some models you need to drop the transmission pan some you have to drop the oil pan before you can drop the transmission pan. Many you have to remove brackets and or exhaust parts before you can remove the other pans. See Tutorial
IF YOU LOOK BEHIND THE AIR FILTER BOX YOU FILL FIND THE DIPSTICK. REMOVE THE DIPSTICK AND USE A TRANS FUNNEL AND PUT THE FLUID IN THROUGH THE DIPSTICK HOLE . BE SURE TO USE SP3 FLUID OR YOU WILL HAVE ISSUES IN THE FUTURE .
Look on the shifter lever, just bellow the push button. There is another push button there. That's the one you press or depress to keep the transmission on 3rd. gear. Just press it again and the hold light should come off.
Need more info on what the trans is doing , or not doing. No chance that brake fluid cools or lubes your transmission. The only possible connection is that your clutch is hydraulic which would use brake fluid , but two totaly different systems. Does your clutch feel funny?
