Question about BMW 530
I just followed the instructions previously mentioned here on how to change the microfilter on my 2005 BMW 530i. However, looking at the engine from the front, the microfilter housing on the left side has some kind of sensor attached to it. And not only are there long bar clips you can undo on the housig lid but there is also a nut/screw that needs to be undone in order to open the housing. So, if anyone knows anything about the sensor and/or screws and how to deal with them, that would be a big help. Dealer just quoted $179.00 to change them - ouch!
PS - anyone know how much the replacement filters are?
