Steering wheel wont lock in park

A few things can cause this. First, is the shifter going all the way in park. Things get down in the boot and under it and won't let it fully engage. Next, if it is cable driven, the cable could be stretched or came loose. If it is electrical, Could have a bad switch at the shifter or in the steering column.

Steering wheel turns to the right when, driving just had brakes and handbrake fixed

you might need wheel and camber alignment already. check the thread of the tires as well. it might be that tire on the right side is wearing thin already.

You need to have the dealer check the inter lock solenoid on the shifter cable,
It is powered by the ignition and brake light switch, pushing the brake releases the solenoid and allows you to move shifter.

Car will not shift into reverse, where is the manual override switch and how do I check it?

You should always engage the handbrake before parking but if you are like me and don't the transmission locks up. You can try having someone rock the car or push it ( not good for the transmission ). You can jack up one of the back tires ( being careful of the others ) when the wheel is mobile it will free up the transmission ( this DOES work ). Or it could be the shifter alignment cable this sometimes becomes stretched and needs replacement. There is also a clip on it that can become jammed. If you know someone who does well with cars have them take a look for you. My dealer wanted to soak me for $1800 not including tow of over $200. Hope these suggestions work for you

Jaguar s-type 2000 (Australia), Car locks when put in "park". Can only get it into car by rocking front of car up and down. Does anyone have any ideas. Has been intermittent but now becoming more common,...

ALWAYS engage Parking Brake BEFORE putting vehicle into "Park". Reverse the process when you want to get out of "Park" (hold down brake pedal, put car into desired gear, THEN disengage Parking Brake). Good luck!
