Hi first you have to check if the bolts didn't break in the motor if not then try to lift the motor and take it to the height where you can see the holes of the mount pair up with the engine then tighten up and put in the missing bolts

How do i change the alternator

DISCONECT THE BATTERY.
V6, Alternator is on back side of passenger side of engine. Remove negative battery cable, Release belt tension at automatic tensioner. Remove upper metal bracket over alternator. this bracket will have 2, 8 mm bolts into alternator. after bracket removed one lower bolt goes through alternator. this bold has a nut on the back side and is difficult to get out. But it can be done. Someone put it in there. you can get it out. After bolt is removed you can rotate the alternator to gain access to electrical connectors.

4 cyl Alternator located passenger side front if engine. Remove negative battery cable, Remove metal bracket from exhaust manifold, remove lower through bolt and rotate alternator to gain access to electrical conectors.

How to replace 1996 pontiac grand am motor mount

On 96 Grand Am 2.4L you have to remove the motor mount first to get the top 2 transaxle bolts on the mount bracket removed. The bracket and trans mount are removed as one unit after all 8 bolts are removed. You will need a 3 foot bry bar to move the engine over to the side as far as possible to make room for the 2 top bolts to be removed.

How to locate starter motor in mazda 323F

The starter motor is located on the back side of the engine (closest to the firewall) underneath the fuel injection/intake manifold. To replace it, first disconnect the battery, then remove the main power cable (heavy wire) and the start wire (light wire). Next remove the two bolts for the intake manifold support bracket and remove bracket. Remove one bolt on starter rear support bracket and 3 bellhousing flange bolts (two accessible from starter side, on accessible from bellhousing side). the starter is now free and can be taken out form teh passenger's side (LHD).

96 Chevy S-10 starter problems

Just did this, take the long bolt out of the passenger side engine mount, loosen the two transmission mount bolts and jack the right side of oil pan slowly, when you do this there will be enough clearance between the bell housing and frame, be sure to use a jack stand to be safe.
Put the starter motor in the space with the selonoid up and wiggle forward into position then insert bolts and hook up connections. Let the motor down, put the motor mount bolt back in, tighten transmission mount.

Removal of Oil pan

did you try giving it a gentle smack with a rubber hammer? these pans are usually glued on with silicone and will not just fall off after unbolting... sometimes you need to get something like a paint scraper and slide it between block and rail to seperate the two.

Grand prix headlights

Hi,
Hope you have solved this by now but if haven't here's how. There is a bracket on the back of the assembly that helps hold it in place. After you remove the two bolts on the top, you must slide the entire assembly (facing the vehicle) to the right for the drivers side or to the left for the passenger side. The bracket has a little lip and a tab in a slot on the inside toward the grille and they only go in one direction. Don't **** on it too hard or the bolt clips will scratch the paint off the bumper. Good luck!

Replacing the starter motor in a 1996 miata

Hi,

Depending on the version/edition of the MX-5, the starter motor would be on the rear end of the engine (passenger side) below the intake manifold. Initially, disconnect the battery/cable; next disconnect the start wire. Thereafter, remove the two (2) bolts for the intake manifold support bracket and remove the bracket. Remove one bolt on starter rear support bracket and the three (3) bellhousing flange bolts (two accessible from starter side while the other one is accessible from the bellhousing side). The starter is now free and may be taken out.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
