You are going to need to replace the speedo head or have it repaired, the little motor that operates the speedo needle is defective, it is called the "Stepper Motor"

The car is an automatic.

When you say the speedometer does not work, do you mean the needle is stuck at certain speed or is at zero all the time.. If it is at zero all the time, replace your meter. If it's stuck at certain speed, give it a knock with your fingers. And if that do not work, drill a pin hole with a fine drill just above the position where the needle is stuck and using a fine thin wire, push the needle back to zero position.

Oil presure guage jumps from 30 to 60 whats the normal operating range

Oil pressure should be around 30 at idle and then sit at 60 when engine is above 2,000 RPM. If pressure varies at all engine speeds it indicates a sticking pressure relief valve which is located within the oil pump. You could try using some oil flushing product in the engine oil before the next oil change to see if it removes the gunk that is causing the valve to stick. If that does not improve it you should see a mechanic about replacing the relief valve.

How to fix odometer sppedometer in 98 accord

It could be that any one of the terminals have become loose!

Check that first & then if OK, the potentiometer &/or the pneumatic line that moves the needle. Thus the assembly attached to the wheel along with all terminals need to be replaced.

If none of the terminals are loose my recommendation would be to replace the entire odometer with a new one if you drive above 60 mph on a regular basis to get an accurate reading. So replacing the whole, would be my advice for safe driving & not over speeding too!.........sodeep

Speedometer works sometimes on 95 neon

Common on those is the dash cluster connection itself, there is a plug on the back of it, that you pull off & i ended up using tweezers or needle nose pliers and just very slightly twisted or bent ends of the male spade (small) contacts on the cluster itself, one by one. re-attached everything & problem cured. If you just pull trim around the cluster, it will come off, then 3 or 4 screws and cluster will lift out of there, unplug harness, do as described & re-install. Let me know how you make out. Did it 2 or 3 times in my 95 neon & it cured it for a few years each time.
