It looks like a tire iron (sometimes looks like a crank) with a square or hex tip that you just slide into the hole in the bumper trim

Fix a flat tire

All tools should be included in your car. Spare tire: underside of trunk, tools: under access panel inside on right, handle: engine compartment. They are listed in the owner's manual, under 'changing the tires'. They include a jack, a lug wrench, and most likely a 'key' that looks like a heavy socket. You will need it to loosen the one lug not that (likely) looks different from the others. Loosening the lug nuts with standard (car) equipment can be difficult. Much easier if you can get/borrow an X type lug wrench.
How to do it? mostly common sense, really. First, make sure the spare has sufficient pressure, otherwise you're wasting your time. Some basic cautions: park on firm and level ground, secure from roll-away, be aware of other motorists and other hazards. Detailed Step-by-step instructions are listed in the owner's manual: http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/catalog/owner_guides/98navog1e.pdf, and also on stickers near the spare wheel.

I have a 1993 Lumina Van that has a flat tire. I don't know how to get the spare tire down from under the car. I don't have anything that looks like a wrench

where your jack and lug wrench is located.. you should also have a long rod that is part of the jack assembly .. on your rear bumper look for a small hole. the rod gets inserted into that small hole and you turn left continuosly and the tire will start to drop slowly from the undercarriage of the vehicle.

How do i get the spare tire under car off so i can

on the floor, under the carpet, just inside the rear door frame, inside the plastic trim, you will see a nut for the brace, turn anticlockwise to lower the rack(you may have to kick it once or twice to lower it all the way.)

I don't have a problem, just need to know how to get the spare tire out from under the car if I ever need it.

Look at the floor board in the center near the dash. There should be a plastic cap. Remove it and get the tools from the back then unscrew.

Owners manual has been stolen :( need to locate the spare tire! HELP!!!

The spare tire will be under your car. Along with the jack and tire iron, there should be a rod that you slide into a hole on the top of your bumper with the hatch open. This rod lowers your spare tire from under your car

Cant release spare tire from under car of 2002 mercury villager. no owners manual available.

Location of the spare tire and tools
The spare tire and tools for your vehicle are stowed in the following
locations:
Item Location
Spare tire Under the vehicle, just forward of
the rear bumper
Jack assembly Under the third row bench seat in
the tool bag
Removing the jack and tools
1. Lift the 3rd row seat cushion.
2. Remove the jack assembly from the bag under the seat.

Removing the spare tire
1. Open the liftgate, locate the U-shaped slits in the carpet, and flip up
the piece of carpet to expose the hex nut.
2. Insert the lug nut wrench on the
hex nut in cargo floor.
3. Turn the wrench
counterclockwise until tire is
lowered to the ground and the cable
is slightly slack.
4. Remove the retainer from the
spare tire. It may be necessary to
lift one end of the tire to disengage
the retainer

Spare tire

I have an Infinit QX56 and it uses the same tool to release the spare from under the rear of the SUV/lift gate. All you need to do is open the storage compartment in the rear hatch and get out the lug wrench bag out that has the tools. There is a long tool that looks like a bar with a "T" at the end. This will go into a hole in the rear bumper under the hatch. Then attach the extention tool and finaly lug wrench to the end with the hole in it. Rotate until you feel it catch, then rotate counter clockwise to lower the tire. Once it hits the floor, release a bit more tension so you can manuver the chain and holder out from the center of the rim. Lastly do these steps in reverse (rotate clockwise) to put the tire back under. Hope this helps!

How do i unlock the spare tire?

If the spare is under the rear of the van you will have to open the rear hatch and lift the carpet up to reveal what looks like a big nut. Using the wrench that you take the tires off with turn that nut counter clockwise and that will lower the spare tire. Turn it the other way to raise the tire.
