Central locking device on an audi a8 year 1999

The central locking device on my Audi a8 has stopped suddenly to do the job. When I open the drivers door, a pump in the luggage compartment makes some noise during a certain period, also the lights are blinking.
Only there is no one of the actuators activated. Only the drivers door is opened mechanically.

Either one of the vacuum hoses has popped off or there is a leak in the system. The system uses a vacuum pump to push/pull air through hoses connected to actuators in each door..
Have someone activate the system while you listen in the trunk for the pump, find it and see if one of the hoses has fallen off there.

Open the drivers door with the key. Look on the door for the unlock button and press it. This will unlock all doors and the boot. Use the handle on the boot to open it.

Central locking not operating with the key or manually. I never had any problems with central locking of my Audi A4Tdi car but suddenly it stop working. I have checked batery and replaced them but still...

It's probably the vacuum pump for the lock mechanism. It's buried in the passenger rear of the car, accessed from the trunk. Pull out the little "pocket" bin between the right rear wheel well and the taillight, pull up the carpet, and the module is down in there. Swap it out for a new one and you should be fine.

I have 2 of these remotes; one of them is in flawless condition but they would both need an uncut blade and a virgin immobilizer chip.
