Oxygen Sensor
A code P0155 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

  • O2 Heater element resistance is high
  • Internal short or open in the heater element
  • O2 heater circuit wiring high resistance
  • open or short to ground in the wiring harness
Possible Solutions
  • Repair short or open or high resistance in wiring harness or harness connectors
  • Replace oxygen sensor (cannot repair open or short that occurs internally to sensor)

Could be O2 sensor, but you have to check which one, there are 4. The code should read example:- Bank 1, sensor 1 high restriction.

The first thing you need done is to have the engine control module scanned for fault codes, any Autozone or O'reilly auto parts does this testing for free. This testis called an OBD2 fault code test. Post the results here.

Misfires no power smells like sulfer PO Code 400

Year/make/model??? This is an EGR code. ( exhaust gas recirculation ). The valve may be stuck open and causing the engine to run rich. The engine should also run rough at idle if this valve is stuck open

Rough idle and smells like gas when driven

When checking for Vacuum leaks, did you use a water spray bottle on seams and vacuum lines and EGR pod?(engine running)

Check for air leaks in exhaust before O2 sensors. O2 thinks its running lean from air leak in exhaust header and enrichens fuel charge.

Fuel injectors dirty, not closing tight. Switch injectors to other bank and see if Error Code moves to relocated injectors.

Bad spark plugs, check if you have fuel runners in your intake.

1996 pontiac sunfire car running rough and engine light on

Hello
When the service engine soon light (Also called the check engine light or engine management light) is turned on this is to alert you to the fact that Powertrain Control Module (computer) has detected a failure somewhere in the systems it controls you may not feel any difference in the way the engine runs, this can be the transmission or the engine or emission system, there are fault codes set in the modules memory for these faults. What needs to happen now is to have the powertrain control module scanned with a special tool called an OBD2 electronic engine control scanner or a OBD2 code reader. Once the code(s) are read then you must perform the diagnostics for each code and make the appropriate repairs based on the findings of the diagnosis that was performed, this is called doing "Pinpoint" testing.

If you're smelling fuel, it's not getting burned. Something wrong with inginition. Examples, timing is off, need tune up, wires are wrong on truck, and more.

Sulfur smell coming from my 2004 chevy colorado wont start unlss i jump it

You have a bad battery and it needs to be replaced. The rotten egg or sulfer smell is coming from the acid in the battery. I would not continue to jump the vehicle as the battery could explode.

1993 bravada backfires and runs rough i know i have a bad muffler but it also has a heavy sulfer smell after 10 minutes of running

is this only at idle? does it run better if you hit the gas pedal? if it does it might be your egr stuck open by a piece of carbon,if that is the problem...most companies make a gasket for the egr with a screen in it to stop this from happening again, hope this helps
