Hi,check for all the sensors on the engine,may be one has been disconnected ,the ECU will not record any fault,sensors can be disconnected ,due to,when the mechanic has changed the timing belt,look for it.Hope that solve your problem

On the first occurance the car had been parked for 40 minutes. On return the car would not start although engine turned over. Returning hours later the car started but sounded very rough.
Two weeks after replacement of timing belt, the engine cut-out while driving in traffic at 30mph.
When the car came to stop the engine started without difficulty and returned it to main dealer who can find nothing faulty.
