Which door is it that you think needs adjusting and what is the door doing to make you think that. If it is a front door, then it probably needs a new hinge pin bushing. These can be bought at any auto parts store. They come with a new hinge pin, because the old pin will have to be ground off to remove it.

Which door is it ? If it is a front door, then it may be the hinge pin bushing that needs replacing. These can be bought at any auto parts store. Get the pin and bushing set because the hinge pin will need to be ground off to remove it. Press the new bushings in with pliers and insert the new pin from the top

If it's a front door, you can just remove the bolts that connect the bottom hinge to the door, then add a couple washers between the door and the hinge. This will correct the "sag" at the back of the door and it's a lot easier (and cheaper) than replacing the pins. Good luck!

I need to remove a door hinge on a 1996 Lincoln town car

If you push the pins out, you can separate the two "halves" of the hinge to get access to the bolts. There are several answers to the question of how to remove the pins. Good luck!

How do get access to the top driverside door hinge

Here is the repair procedure straight from Ford manual, but it doesnt give any information about access problems, I will ask a coworker and see if he knows:

Removal and Installation
  1. NOTE: Front and rear door hinges can be removed and installed using this procedure.

Support the front door (20124) or rear door (24630) for service using Rotunda Flexi-Work Table 156-00070 or equivalent.
  1. Mark the location of the front door upper hinge (22800) or lower door hinge on the front door or rear door and body.
  1. Remove the door hinge-to-body retaining bolts.
  1. Remove the door hinge-to-door retaining bolts. Remove front door upper hinge or lower door hinge.
  1. To install, position the front door upper hinge or lower door hinge to the front door or rear door and body. Install retaining bolts.
  1. Adjust the front door or rear door as outlined. Tighten hinge retaining screw and washer assemblies to 25-35 Nm (18-25 lb-ft) and remove the support.

My doors have fallin and now i have to lift6 up on the door with the window down to close it

Sounds like the door hinges are worn. Determine if it is the hinges or the hinge pin that is worn. It it is only the pins, which is unlikely, you can just replace these, if it is the hinges, the complete hinges will have to be replaced.

We adjusted the driver side door now the interior lights wont turn off when you shut the door

It might be possible to adjust the door switch which is on the hinge side of the door half way down the door jam.If it is not adjustable then the door would have to be readjusted.I had a truck that did the same thing and I ended up having to glue a piece of rubber pad where the switch was so my light would go out because we couldn't get anymore adjustment out of it.

What would you do when your 1996 lincoln town car doors won't lock with the key. And the trunk won't open.

How can a lock not lock or unlock with a physical key? Maybe the cylinders are frozen? Try squirting a little oil into the locks.
1996 Town Cars have keys and keyless entry. The physical keys are two, an ignition key and a door key. You can't use the door key in the ignition, nor the ignition key in the door. They aren't interchangeable.
The default key code for keyless entry is posted on the right trunk hinge, inside the trunk.
