Question about 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Fuel Gage I have a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer and the Fuel Gage is not working correctly. When I fill up, it takes a while for it to go to full and throughout that tank, the gas amount jumps up and down. Anybody know what this could be?

This problem is caused by a defective fuel gauge sending unit, the sending unit is inside the gas tank, you must drop the fuel tank out of the car to replace the sender, it is part of the fuel pump module.

It's more than likely a gauge issue, this is a pretty common problem for Trailblazers to have. Here's a link with more information about these GM gauge problems. And where you can purchase replacement parts on Amazon if you want to do the repair yourself.

If my fuel gage on my 2005 Chevy Aveo doesn't work, how do you fix it? This started @ 78,000 miles

If your mileage has dropped to half, I would be worried about what is wrong with the car. Chances are it is running very rich and using way more fuel than it should.

My gas gage go from full to empty

Chevy has a very common problem with their fuel sending units (the thing that sends the fuel level info to your computer). The only way to fix it is to replace the fuel pump/sending unit assembly which is very pricey (over $1000 if you go to the dealer). If you can just zero your trip odometer every time you fill up and don't drive more than say 250 miles before you fill again you should be able to drive without running out of gas.

2005 chevy trail blazer -which fuses are connected to fuel pump. Engine turns over but will not start. I don't have an owners manual. it's cold outside 25 deg. gas guage has not worked fo 2 years but...

Every fuse box in the vehicle around dash area and under the hood shows what fuse goes to what. You just have to take the lid/cover off and look under it. Might just be the fuel pump itself.

Gas gage does not work wind tank is full show not full

you fuel gauge has a float inside the fuel deposit tank and if this float has absorbed fuel it will not read the correct level ,either replace the whole unit or take the plastic float off and tie a wine bottle cork to the end of the arm ,make sure its not a french wine bottle cork though ,

Fuel gage low gas light is on but tank is full,

The sending unit on fuel pump module is failing. Fuel pump will fail next! Change fuel pump module will solve problem and save you from being stranded on road when fuel pump fails. Common problem on GM trucks!

Fuel level gage indicates low fuel every time I filled the tank full level.

do you have problems starting the vehicle? usually signs of faulty fuel pump. but if all is well. your going to have to drop the tank to replace the sensor located on the side of the fuel pump.

I filled up my 2005 trailblazer ext v8 and the fuel gadge says im empty

GM has had issues with fuel level sensors (in the tank) and instrument clusters. Are the rest of your gauges working correctly? If so then you will need to install a level sensor. Good Luck

Can you tell me what p0463 code means on my 2005 Liberty

p0463 is a self diagnostic code that is for the fuel gage sending unit located inside the fuel tank if your fuel gage is reading empty just after you filled it then that verify's the code is correct you have a bad sending unit

Suspect faulty fuel level sender. The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the signal circuit of the fuel level sender in order to determine fuel level.

My fuel gauge is not working on my 2005 Chevy Monte Carlo. When I fill my tank it reads way past full and when engine is shut off it reads full. HELP

Have you had the fuel pump replaced? If you had or not, you might want to chk. all your connections to the pump, make sure the positive lead to tank is secure and also you got a good ground on the tank too. Sometimes when a pump is replaced if not installed right the flote in the tank won't work right or is hung up, and thats why it won't register right on the gage.
