2001 Toyota corolla LE: Driver side power window problems

My car's power window (on drivers side) stops in between during roll up / down. if I leave it as it and restart my car, it stars over again or if i continue driving it starts roll up / down again after a few minutes.

This issue is not there for other windows of my car. Do i need a new regulator / motor? Can i fix this myself? Any pointers to repair document that can help will be appreciated !!

The motor is burned out, likely due to heavily worn brushes inside. As the motor cools (from lack of use) it becomes usable again, but quickly heats up and seizes with use.

You will need to replace the window motor. If you are mechanically inclined it is not a difficult job.

The door panel needs to be removed (numerous philips screws and push fasteners), then there are two 10mm bolts holding the glass to the regulator. Support the glass in the upward position with tape or suction cup supporting devices.

Disconnect the power to the motor and unbolt the regulator from the door (about 5 10mm bolts), then slide the regulator and motor assembly out the door opening.
If you purchased a complete regulator/motor (typical aftermarket), simply install the new one in reverse order.
If you purchased just the motor (typical OEM), you will need to unbolt the motor from the regulator. Becautious as the regulator is spring loaded and will snap open once the motor separates. Install the new motor with the regulator in the same position as before disassembly, and reinstall into the vehicle.

I had this same problem I changed the master switch in the driver door and it fixed the windows and it may be your power lock switch there to.

Driver side window will not roll up or down on my 1992 Corolla. have you ever had this problem and how did you fix it?

you should open the door panel and check if the rolling motor is trying to roll at all, if it is then the teeth for rolling up is weak else then check the fuse for the motor

The right front window goes down but won't go up.

I had this problem before. Try replacing your driver's side power windows switch. They're cheap at a junkyard. This helped me out but during the process I tried shorting wires together to bypass the switch. I screwed up and all the power windows stopped rolling. This was remedied by sticking a pin into circuit breakers along the driver side wall under the dash. Hope that helps, was looking for help with my 90 Camry because it won't reverse and I can't push it backwards when in neutral. Good luck!

My toyota corolla 94 window driver side can not scroll up&down

Perhaps a faulty window-motor, or the window switch.
Make sure your battery is good. Usually the problem is the window-switch.

The back window on the driver's side will roll

you might just need a new switch try swapping the off of the other sides door to see if it will go up if it does it the old switch was bad if not it might be the regulator

Divers window won't roll up my Camry

No won't be fuse. My guess is there is something faulty with the main controller. You could probably verify this by trying the switch on right rear passenger door. If it works there then the problem is at the main controller in the driver door. Could be a loose wire or the switch itself is broken.
