Question about 1999 Ford Taurus
You need a "gear puller".
This is the harmonic balance, right?
If so, then you need a "harmonic balancer puller" for a Ford.
You may be able to rent (or maybe free) one from an auto parts store like AutoZone. Look for posted signs regarding tools & lending. Generally, you leave a $$ deposit.
This is a serious step ... as explained in my earlier post.
May I ask (add a comment) ... what is your goal .. what are you trying to do? I mean after you pull the balancer?
