Honda civic 1994 wont start

I have the same issue. i have changed the starter and still doesn't turn. the battery is really since i have lights and electrical system works in the car to include the alarm system that was factory installed. i may have to go back to the store and return what I bought (re-manufactured) and get a brand new starter instead. should i avoid buying from any brand?

It could be the starter switch. I had the same problem and it can be cause by having too many keys on the key chain.

Hi.

Just an idea, but alot of times the battery can have enough juice to work all other electical items but will not have enough amps to actually work the starting system. Try havig it checked if it is a llittle old...just a thought

If you changed starter why would you have to go back and get new one?

Have you checked your Fuel pump relay? That's a possibility. It could also be ignition switch or poor spark, when did you change spark plugs last?

Why do my 91 honda civic starts but stalls out when i drive it

It can be low fuel pressure or clogged fuel filter or issue with IAC valve.

It can be the issue with weak battery or faulty battery or if battery is ok,then its faulty starter causing the issue.

I have a 1994 honda civic and it wont start the dash lights light up but then nothing there is no sound of the engine trying to turn over..what is it likely to be? just the starter or more?

1st check battery terminals to be making connections, next, make sure battery fully charged, then move to fuse box under the hood for burnt battery fuse, then check battery charge,if good, then suspect bad connection to starter (wires) then suspect bad starter. if not that, then try to turn engine over manually by crankshaft bolt to see if cranks locked. thank you for choosing fixya.com

Hi, I have a 1994 Honda Civic Ex and it won't start. It makes a clicking noise whenever I turn the key. This has been an ongoing problem when I get in the car I have to try several times before the car...

i have a 1992 honda civic hatchback with an 1995 single head vtec motor. the problem with my car is when i go and try to start the car it wont start up right away. instead it makes a clicking noise everytime i step on the clutch and turn the key. my honda is a 5 speed... sometimes it starts up right away but also sometimes it just seems like after 10 to 15 clicks the car still havent started yet. all the lights and everything else comes on fine from what i can see... what else can be the problem or anything that i can do very soon without spending any or alot of money yet???

hi have you checked the leads from battery to starter are secure ? also important that the negative earth lead from battery to the engine is also secure and in good condition on the starter you should have main cable from battery and a thinner cable both connected to solenoid on one terminal ? then a thin wire to a small push on terminal? this wire is the key start wire which energises the slenoid/starter
