You need to give more details. Test how far you get power and listen for any sounds. That will narrow the search for the fault.

It may be the solenoid or the starter.

Why after checking fuse in fuse box my car wont start, everything was working fine before that

Starter or star soliniod. You need to check if you are getting power through soleniod and to starter.

My 350 engine in my 1983 cutlas loses power, but has new battery and alternater. gotta get boost to start car.

if it started having this problem after you put in a new alternator, it could be an improperly connected alternator. if not, something electrical could be staying on which would kill the battery. however if you shut it off, and immediately you try to start it and it will not start (turn ignition off, and less than 10 seconds later it still wont), then its probably something with the alternator.

New starter new soleniod and battery just get buzzing from soleniod no start

Try to test the starter in question on a bench to verify if it's good or not. Also, test the battery to verify charge and Cold Cranking Amps on it.

Good luck on this repair.

99 suburban wont start, power to starter, only clicks. new starter. lights all work dash warnings seat belt alarm etc. owned for four years never had any issues.

If you installed a new starter and your getting battery volts at the starter wire on the soleniod switch while trying to start the engine, then you bought a bad starter, Good luck, Gary

I installed a new starter on a 1994 ford ranger and it still wont start . it does not sound like it is engaging. i think i wired it right but maybe not. what could i have done wrong? i have put on a lot of...

i would have started with the solenoid first. if i remember right it should be located on either fender wall. i cant remember off the top of my head. alot of times that is your problem. with it being a 94 more than likely it has never been changed and im sure it will have corrosion on it along with rust. shouldnt be to hard. i would replace the wire ends to the soleniod as wel since you will have it off

Installed a new car battery yesterday and now the car will not start. I used jumper cables thinking that maybe the new battery wasn't charged enough, did not get a response at all. Could it be a blown fuse?...

It may be bad or dirty connections to the battery, starter or a fuse link located right on the wire to starter itself that is the culprit, make sure the battery is fully charged, clean all connections and then if problem persists inspect the wires from the starter solenoid for bad fuse links on wires, if all this fails to solve the problem replace the starter solenoid then the starter after trying a new starter soleniod.

1993 Ford Tempo won't start

I know this sounds stupid, tap the fender soliniod with a small hammer when someone is trying to crank the engine, it will start. The clicking is a jam in the solinoid, one tap and it should release. I told a few people this on here and they didn't beleive me, but all have sent me mails thanking me. Good luck bud,
Regards, Dave, Let me know

your starter, solenoid or ignition is no good. but my first choice,i think your solenoid is shorted because when you hook up the battery,it cranks but does not start.that means your ignition switch is still working.
