If you dont have the car checked you might start experiencing overheating.

All you need do is get the radiator flushed and replace the coolant. Also let an expert see that the thermostat is working alright.

You might even go for a diagnistic scan on the car to rule out other possible issues like o2 sensor.

Do I use 50/50 coolant or straight coolant on 2001 ford Taurus

I use straight coolant on my 01 Ford Taurus. I'[m sure you can get a way with a 50/50 mix in the summer months. You do not want to use 50/50 in the winter.

look for a bare metal cap with little wings on it at the nose of the car. this is the radiator cap. only open that cap when the engine is cold. also, test your coolant while your at it.

2001 ford taurus with check engine light on. code

Make sure you replaced the right one there are two sensor's for the coolant, one takes coolant temp and the other one runs the fans for the radiator. Both are located on drivers side of the block. 2 wire leads on each how ever both are different in sending readings to the computer. Both look just alike also. Just make sure you replaced the right one. Or replace both.
