Question about 2004 Nissan 350Z

Driverside window stays down

If I press auto-down the driverside window goes down and stays down. Sometimes a few minutes and sometimes a few days later it will magically start working again. Never stops working unless its all the way down.

There is a module that drives the regulator power window assembly.
the module(express widow module) is probably at fault.
if the module does not register that the window is all the way down,it will not allow the window to go up.

Driverside power window went down and will not roll up

The window motor probably quit working. Try banging on the inside of the door near the bottom, at the same time holding the switch to raise the window. Sometimes this will give the motor one more chance at raising the window.

Driverside window won't go back up

I had to change the driver side switch in mine, also on a MonteCarlo. I think it was $40.
On the passenger door, the window came out of the track because the guide track rusted loose.

normally they are on the driverside under the dash and sometimes there is a panel just inside the door on the dash driverside and also one under the hood and if you have an owners manual you shouldn't have any problem

Driverside headlight out.

Ok a little complex. You have to open the hood. Look near the battery on the headlight assembly tou'll see a clip and a lever. You have to depress the clip and move the lever completely down. Lots of times seized. Use as much lube to release the slider. Once you get it low enough I use a suction cup on the headlamp and pull it out while moving the lever down. Once they line up inside you can pull out the assembly to change the bulb. Sometimes we have to replace the slider guide in the head lamp retainer when they break. Sometimes not an easy fix.

Driverside window

With the ignition key in position II and the window in the fully up position press and hold the down side of the window button until the window reaches it's end stop and continue to hold the button down for at least 5 seconds. Next, repeat the above procedure only now going up but remember to hold the switch for at least 5 seconds after the window reaches it's stop. You do not need VIDA for this repair although VIDA can do the same thing only via the computers.
