30-45 PSI (Pounds per Square Inch)

Attach fuel pressure gauge test valve as to release the pressure in the fuel system, then place the open hose end into a suitable gasoline container. Now proceed to bleed down the pressurized fuel system. Close the test gauge valve and place the ignition in the on position, utilize a scan tool to energize the fuel pump. This will bring the system to a stabilized fuel pressure that can be visually verified on the gauge. Hope this helped and best wishes.

What's the fuel pressure Spec for 2005 Ford five hundred?

Not sure what the spec should exactly be. But If you hook up a pressure gage to the fuel rail and turn the key to the on position it should build pressure to around 9bar or 130psi and hold it. If it looses pressure then you have 1 of a few possible problems.
-leak in the fuel line.
-bad check valve in fuel pump
-bad injector

If nothing happens you have a bad fuel pump. But if it does hold pressure then your engine is getting fuel. Now turn the engine over and the gage should read in the range of 18-25bar or 260-360psi. If everything checks out fuel is most likely not the reason for your problem.

Do a compression check on the cylinders. while you're taking out the spark plugs check them for soot and oily deposits.
Scotty Kilmer has just put a video on you tube that explains this a little. the only thing is i don't know what the spec psi is for this engine

1999 ford crown vic won't start. changed fuel

Maybe your problem is with the one or many injectors, if just one is bad, you will have problems. Get yourself a multimeter and set it to read in ohms and find what spec the injectors should be at. If out of spec, then you need to replace that one injector(s).

My 1999 ford escort is not getting enough gas to the engine

Your going to want and check fuel pressure to see if its in spec. If fuel pressure is low...I would check for a restriction.. like a plugged fuel filter or weak fuel pump.

How much pressure should a fuel pump have on a 1999 buick lesabre have. I bought a fuel pressure gauge and have no idea what the pressure should be. It's showing 38 psi.

that is with in the spec range and is good.are you having problems with the fuel system.if so you can have good fuel pressure but poor fuel volume(not enough fuel quantity).it should be about 1/2litre(pint)in 30 seconds with engine running and no air in the gas(if you use a clear hose)

What should the fuel pressure be on a 2000 ford e250

Hi. The engine should idle with a fuel pressure range anywhere between 13-20 psi. With the engine off, and the key on, it will push slightly higher for a short moment of 1 or 2 seconds.

1999 CHEVY SILVERADO 4.3 RPM,S WONT GO OVER 2000 AND FOULS THE PLUGS

Hello coret_d_king: My name is Roger and i will give you some things to look at. First is the check engine light on? If so you need to address these problems first. You need to know what the codes are stored in the memory of the computer. You need to check the fuel pressure for the proper pressure. The correct pressure is 60-66 psi.key on engine off. If the pressure is not within these specs. then the fuel pump should be looked at. Also check the fuel filter. There could be a blockage. I would also have the catalytic converter checked. Should the converter become plugged. The engine can not breath. The truck will run better cold but as the engine warms up. The truck runs worse. Will surge and lack performance.
SHould you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer you received as this is how we know you were given correct information. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

Car dies when accelerate. do i need new fuel pump?

Hello;
It sounds from your description that the fuel pump is weak. To check the fuel pressure you need a fuel pressure test gauge for fuel injection. Attach the gauge to the test port schrader valve and turn the ignition to the on position. Record the reading. Now start the engine and record that reading. Unplug the pressure regulator vacuum line and record the reading.
The pump should have pressure with in specs but if low, start with the installation of a new complete pump. It is located in the fuel tank. Also replace your fuel filter.
Hope this helps you.
Thanks;
Rich
