Flashers don't work in a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix. Don't have a book or wiring diagram to backtrace source of the possible problem.

Howdy anonymous,

Beyond the always FIRST STEP of blaming the "FLASHER"....
(see rockauto example $ below)

There immediately follows moving on out to the light bulbs and checking they (EACH & EVERY) work...

Then & only then do you start "BACK-TRACING"

I always recommend getting REAL FACTORY support documents but luckily BBB Industries has FREE documents for popular USA models: and TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS...
(foreign & domestic... (registration required... real documents))

Go to the wiring SCHEMATIC... You will find REFERENCES to both BATTERY & GROUND...

It would be really helpful to know... WORKING STATUS?

Tail lights
Brake lights
Left signal
Right signal...

If Tail lights and Brake lights work... you can
pretty much forget about BACK-TRACING altogether...

Start with your FLASHER power source and move
immediately into the "multi-contact flasher switch

Where is the flasher on a 2005 grand prix located?

can't be the flasher if the others work, most likely the socket is corroded, a test light or multi meter is the next step

Grand prix front turn signals lights will not work but rears flash rapidly.

Definitely not the flasher, as long as it is flashing or blinking somewhere. Rapid flashing indicates a burned bulb, but since you already tried new bulbs in front, possibly bad bulb sockets, loose connectors, or a bad ground for the front bulbs. If you have a test light or voltmeter (multimeter), check for power at the socket when turns are on. If power then at the front, try new bulbs or trace the ground for those lights. If no power to the socket for turn signals, recheck wiring.

How do you install the turn signal flasher on 1991 pontiac grand prix?

its as simple as unplugging the old one and plugging in the new one, it should be located on the driver side against the firewall or under the dash.

Replace the hazard switch that it's self is also the flasher for the turn signal's, bad thing is that is a dealer item only.

Change the flasher unit located in the main interior fusebox... Goto your local auto parts store and buy the new flasher. Use this to identify the old unit and replace....

1992 grand prix turn signals not working

these cars are common for bad signal light switchs, try lightly moving lever up and down while signal is on,see if it starts working,BUT FRIST MAKE SURE FLASHER IS OKAY. ( there are 2 flashers one for hazard lamps and one for signal lamps.
