1998 ranger 2.5 manual enging miss

ck for leak at intake. if no leak pcm/ecm may be sending fire command to slow to # 1 . the fuel injector is always hot the ecm sends a ground to the injector. even new parts can be bad ck inj, with ohm meter resistance should be the same between each inj. im not sure of the specifications but they should read the same my jimmy specs are 1.9-2.1 any other reading is bad . no resistance or lower or higher readings my injector would be bad. 140 is good reading, timing can be off a little and still run but rough like a miss. a code wont set most misfires will set a dtc or flash the engine light to let you know damage to cat system is happening , to much fuel a system rich,to little a lean. a bad mass airflow meter can also cause a misfiring or rough idle ck with scanner if dirty clean with brake cleaner first before replacing . hope this helps some let me know how it goes.

2005 5.3 1500 pickup multi cylinder misfar replaced intake gasket, coil, injector, and plug in cylinder 1&3 number 1 is missing the most also replaced oxygen sencer bank 1

Just so I learn something

Spark plugs -wear ,seldom misfire

Injectors and Coils-need to be component
tested,before I would replace

Testing-- is using a meter,oscilloscope,etc.

Same on O2 Sensor, scope is only way to
see switching time.

I would suggest something common to
multi cyl misfires.
Because you get a code for #1,doesn't mean
that coil is bad. You may have to walk a new
coil from one cyl to the next.

CPS Sensor ?
Is there a cam sensor on that engine?

the injector spider assy is under the intake plenum. typically they leak and that causes odd richness and misfiring problems with them. if you pull the plenum off and find a lot of raw fuel thats the issue

Some Ford engines are not equipped with knock sensors. Yours may be one of them. Located in the wiring loom, close to the ECM, is a "jumper" that when removed retards the timing 4 degrees. This should correct your pinging problem. as for the missfire try changing the plugs and wires .also check the egr valve. thanks

My 99 volkswagon pssat has a missfire in the number two cylender. i changed the spark plug and coil pack. the code is still there when i took it back to be scanned?

Did you have it cleared after you replaced parts? if not it may take 50 ignition cycles to clear it out. but if you feel it missing still you may have a sticky injector.

Check the compression on that cylinder, and the valve springs on that cylinder,it is most likely that problem,or,a crack in the intake,on number two,They will crack under the intake on that cylinder in the oil valley. If this was at all helpful, please rate, and thank you.

Know if my 95 chevy blazer has a spider CPI?

A spider injector is located underneath the intake plenum and this is multi-port. Otherwise you have a throttle body injector system. Vortec engines have spider injectors and they are super expensive to replace ($400.00- 850.00) each ! There is only one spider injector for each engine it has 6 legs/fuel tubes that go to each cylinder.

No fire on passenger side new spider injectors new tuneup

I suspect that your CPFI unit has plugged injectors, the CPFI is Central Port Fuel Injection and is located inside the upper intake manifold,we call it a turantula because it looks like a spider,it houses the injectors or what is called poppets on this sys, they have problems with becoming plugged with carbon and causing a missfire, you can attempt to clean them but that usually does not work and is best to have it replaced,it is an expensive unit and GM has updated to a better system for replacment. I've also know of a few fire in the manifold that messed up the poppets.
Check the wireing harness to the injector first, may have gone lose, and try to get it scaned. Could be something simple.
Good luck and hope this helps.
