Did you reset the computer because if you don't the computer does'nt reconize the new sensor and it will run as if you did'nt even replace it.You can reset it with a scan tool,or take the ground cable off battery for 30 seconds or pull the ECM fuse then put it back.
You can go to a shop that do this kind of work and find out. Mine broke the timing belt and damage the head. I had a used head put on It is not very hard to find a ford escort engine.Replacing the engine with a used one would be the cheapest thing to do but change the timing belt right away, You can do some research on line to find out how much a engine cost. You can call around where you live.
its just the bumper cover.. once you buy the bumper cover it will replace your broke one,, however you my need to buy a bumpercover support..i think its only about $30 more..good luck keith...
Hi! There may be a possibility the cable has snapped, however Ford used a ratchet and pawl set up on the Escort which is made of plastic! when it reaches its full tension (Self Adjusting) it can break leaving you with a baggy soppy floppy clutch pedal. So a clutch replacement is NOT required! If the cable has broken you should be able to see from under the Bonnet/hood as it is situated on top of the gearbox Bell housing. Again a Clutch is NOT needed. Hope this sorts it? Press the Blue Button please to appraise my FREE! Effort. Thank You! Paul 'W' U.K.
I have the same car,,i think your automatic transmission is slipping,(check fluid),or if its a manual transmission, then your clutch is worn out.(replace)
Sounds like an accelerator cable that is getting stuck in its sheath or linkage under the hood the is sticking.
Try pulling up the accelerator pedal when the engine is racing; if it drops down to normal idle, then the above is a good place to start.
