Question about 1998 Ford Escort
I have a 98 escort wagon was running fine stopped and 10 minutes later wouldn't start replaced the battery and still wont turn over whats the next thing to check?
I know this is going to sound stupid, but I've done it before, did you put he car in park? You might also want to try it in neutral also. If neither of these two tests work, you can try to jump across the solinoid on the fender well. Don't stand in front of the car, and make sure that the parking brake is set, just in case it starts and tries to run you down. If jumping across the two big posts cranks the motor, chances are either the solinoid or the electrical half of the ignition switch is bad.
