Question about 2005 Chevrolet Aveo

Drivers door lock cylinder has fallen or been pushed inside door

It appears inside door panel must be removed to get to lock cylinder - then lock cylinder must be replaced and reinstalled. Would like to do this without separate key having to be used.

Take your current key and the new cylinder to a locksmith. The tunmblers will be replaced with ones that will match your key ridges.

You can try do-it-yourself, but it may not be as "strong" as having a smith do it.:
1. Insert your current key into the new cylinder.
2. File-down the tumblers that are sticking out.
3. File them down to the cylinder.

When you get your old cylinder out, put ypour key in it and you will see what I mean.

Hope this helps!

The lock has fallen inside the driver's side door

Here is a common way to remove your door pannel:

1st, find the screw that is attaching the inside door handle (looks like an armrest) to the door panel. remove this screw. there is also a screw located at the door lever (the device you use to open the door from the inside). remove this screw. after this, slide your door panel up to remove it.

Driver side door will not open from outside and driver side window will not go down

The linkage connecting the outside handle to the door catch mechanism and fallen into the path of the window, preventing it from lowering. Remove the door panel and reconnect the linkage arm inside the door. Make sure th retaining clip is in place and fits tightly on the linkage arm to lock it in place. The locking clip may have fallen off the rod and may be on the bottom of the door. If you can't find it, you'll need to go to the dealer and get a new clip.

The door lock on my 2003 E 320 just goes up and down when I push the remote, it does however set the alarm what is causing the problem?

From what you describe, it sounds like someone tried to slim-jim the door lock and dislocated the metal rod from the lock cylinder mechanism. There are two rods; one to the lock mechanism, and the other to the interior pop-up lock shaft. If the interior lock shaft is going up and down, but the door is not locking and unlocking, the rod to the lock cylinder/mechanism has fallen off (this is very common when someone tries to slim-jim the door for entry). To repair requires the interior door panel to be removed and the rod to be reinserted back into the small L-shaped plastic clip.

Passenger side rear door window not working need to know how to take door panel off.

Thier is a Metal panel behind the door panel.
Both need to be removed

Yes. If your window has fallen down and will not roll up.
99% Chance you car is suffering the Infamous VW plastic clip.

The door panel comes off With a T-10 torx or a Hex (Allen) wrench
that will fit and A large Philips Screw Driver..

Remove the Plastic cover on the inside Door handle.
And the Screw or Screw along the Bottom of the door panel.
Then remove the screws that hold the handle the the door.
They are located behind the Plastic plate you removed with a tiny screw driver earlier... Be careful not the mark up the cover whaytprying it up. It is best to pry from underneath. Where marks if made can not be seen

After the screws are out 4 I believe. The Use of a CLip tool ir best.
For getting behind the panel to pop it off. A screw driver will work.

After all the clips are released. Pull the light at the bottom of the panel down and out. Disconnect it ur push it back thought the hole it came from..

Now you need a 10mm socket, or wrench to remove the 12 bolts that hold the metal plate to the Door. Remove all the 10mm bolts, If the widow has not already fallen in the door. It should be released. By removing the Black 2" plugs. THe loosen the bolts that clamp the window the the arms. DO NOT LOOSEN THEM ALL the way, .
Disconect the all the wiring.. THe Door lock cable, can be a pain.
I think it pulls down,.
Next remove the Metal plate. that is the regulator.

I need to change the lock in my drivers side door

first with the L/F window lowered, remove the door trim. Before disconnecting window switch, raise the window all the way up . Now, look inside the door to where the lock cylinder is. You need to unclip the attached linkage to the lock cylinder. Remove "C" clip, ( careful you don't damage outer door panel ) securing cylinder to door and remove lock.
