Question about 2002 Ford F150 Regular Cab
Wondering if anyone could tell me which transmission a 2002 ford f150 7700 5.4l has? a 4r100 or 4r70w.
If that is a super duty model it is likely the 100 be that as it may the 4R100 is an updated E40D. It is available with the 5.4 in the F-150 only with the California emissions package. Otherwise you get the 4R70W
you can usually "decode" the vin number. here is the link for that http://www.ford-trucks.com/vin-decoder/index.php
this appears to be an excellent site for ford truck owners as well.

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
