1998 buick lasabre changed plugs and wires when hit gas cuts in and out

I would try changing the fuel filter and/or pump. My brother had to take the exhaust system off the bottom of the car and then pull the gas tank to get to the fuel filter.

Hope this helps.

My problem was after I would drive the car and the engine would heat up. Once I parked and then tried to start it again while engine was still warm, it would not start. Strangely enough, a jump would solve the problem. But it happened over and over. Once we changed the fuel pump and filter, it never happened again. If you are under there replacing the fuel filter, I recommend changing the fuel pump as well. No sense in having to go through that awful hassle twice.

Fuel cut out

Did you check the oil? A low oil sensor will disable ignition if more than a quart low.

2.8 1991 s 10 2 wheel drive, engine runs ruff cuts out under power thought it might be fuel filter, or throttel body, if filter where is it located, should change it first, have cleaned throttel body no...

Your fuel filter should be on mounted to the frame rail on the drivers side. It could be the fuel filter if it hasnt been changed in a long time or the vehicle sat for a while. Might also want to look into checking your Mass Airflow Sensor and for any vacuum leaks.

Car just sputters and won't start. Thought maybe

If it was out of gas, you'll have to cycle the key to the on position, and off again several times. You should be able to hear the fuel pump cut in (inside the gas tank) for a couple of seconds each time you turn the key to the "run" position. If you can't hear it whirring, it is either not getting power to it, or it is fried. If you can hear it, but the car still won't run after cycling the key several times, you will want to change your fuel filter, and try it again.
If it continues to sputter... start and stop, it will most likely be the MAF. (mass air flow). Your best bet for that would be an auto wrecker. Electical parts are way overpriced, and if that isn't the problem, you won't be able to return it.
