Question about 1998 Isuzu Rodeo

1 Answer

I would like to know if any other Izuzu parts, specially smog components are inner changeable with a 1991 Izuzu Amigo 4cylinder, I believe a 2.3 L engine 2 wheel drive. Okay guys, I confess, I am a woman who's trying to work on her car herself. Lack of funds, I'm forced to go via "Pick a Part" "Wrecking Yards" for my parts. I have a couple of connectors that connect to my smog components that are broke and I have pieced them together with electrical tape, spit and prayers. My problem is finding an Amigo at any wreckers is darn near impossible to say the least and if I should luck out and find one, it's raped of anything useable. That's why I was wondering if there are any other Izuzus that use the same stuff that I could be on the outlook for when I'm at the wreckers. Any help would be appreciated more than you could know. Thanking all in advance, Bonnie

Hi Bonnie. The best thing to do is contact a large wrecking yard and they can tell you if anything is interchangeable. That is the best way we have found to tell if they interchange. They have that information.

Trying to replace inner tie rod left side 1996 nissan maxima need to know how it comes loose from rack

I believe a special tool is needed to change inner tierod. you can rent one from a auto parts store that rents out tools. have a good day !! you can also buy a haynes manual for your car, they are based on a complete teardown of vehicle. for about 20.00, you can also get this book at any auto parts store. this book will guide you step by step. some manual give this info, and some dont. if not you can go to library and look up the info to change inner tierod, on your car.

I need to replace the smog pump on my 1991 dodge dakota. I looked at the all of the pulleys etc. and can not find which component that I need to loosen and pivot in order to loosen the belt so I can...

If you have the 3.9 V-6, when looking at the engine as you stand in front of your truck. The smog pump is on your right. You will see one bolt running from the front to the rear of the smog pump on the left side. The bolt is about where nine o'clock would be on it if it were a clock. The bolt is a through bolt, and acts as the pivot. It must be loosened and completly removed.
On the right side, at the three o'clock position you will find the adjustment bolt. It comes from the rear of the smog pump to the front bracket. You will see that it does not have a regular looking nut. But, insteed what I call a trapped nut. A design that stops turning when tighten, or loosened by coming into contact with a part, or bracket. After you remove all of the related hoses, etc. the bolts can be removed allowing the smog pump to be removed. Installation is done in the opposite order. The v-belt is also tensioned by "swinging" the smog pump upward.

Fuel pump how do you know if the fuel pump is not working 99 izuzu amigo

Put a pressure gauge on the fuel rail if it has one.

Put starting fluid into throttle body, and if it runs for a short while and dies, then you may have a fuel problem...

Good luck.
