This is the ignition module ,most likely mounted on the side of the distributor.They can go bad and cause the truck to not fire.They can heat up and cause the truck to die.Or they can just go out and cause you not to be able to start the truck at all,or after it cools down,it will start up.

F150 shut off driving down the road


If you're still having the problem, replace the module on the side of the distributor. Mine drove me crazy until I replaced the module.. There is not much diagnostic information available on the old OBD I system.

Ignition module? Are you talking about the one in the distributor the hall effect stator Or.The pick up? or the module on the side of the distributor.

the keyless entry module is on the drivers side of the truck up under the dash directly above the emergency brake. The tag should have a 5 digit number in bold, that is your door code.

1990 f150 transmission up shift to early


your modulator valve is unhooked, or bad. The modulator valve is what tells the transmission when to shift and what gear to shift to. It is located on either side of the transmission depending on the model, Im not sure which side your perticular model be on but it looks like a spark advance. I hope that helps you out.
