No clutch pressure in pedal

No leaks, replaced the slave cylender, bled the lines, no leaks but car does go in gear but clutch pedal stays on floor

Something isn't put together right or is out of adjustment. At the very least, a spring should be keeping the pedal up.

When you "bled the lines" did you also bled through the slave cylinder?

You will need to suction bleed this clutch, you can do this with a special tool called a Mityvac brand suction bleeder kit.. Try NAPA for this tool or Carquest

My clutch pedal stay close to the floor in my Acura CL. Doesnt return fully like it used too. Cant figure it out and I've replaced everythin


Bobbie, If your sure the system is bled properly,did you get the clutch fork back in correct position, was it the correct bearing etc., you may have to adjust the clutch pedal and / or if it has a mechanical return spring, change the spring, it could be weak.

New clutch installed. No pedal, stays on floor unless I bring it back up with my hand. No resistance.


`Did it bleed, did fluid come out in a steady stream? Isn't there a spring to bring the pedal off the floor?
Check the linkage of the pedal to rod to the clutch master cylinder, make sure that is all together. Any chance the master has an internal leak and won't build hydraulic pressure down at the slave? If you get it bled, then watch the slave operation while someone works the clutch pedal. The piston on the slave should extend and push the clutch fork enough to disengage the clutch.

Replace slave cylinder


okay, lets hope the clutch slave is installed correctly, is this slave internal or external. in other words can the clutch slave(the part that pushes clutch fork) be replaced with out pulling the transmission?
what year,make and model is this car? did you open the clutch line? how did you bleed the clutch?

Clutch pedal sinks to floor


Unless you have bled the slave cylinder properly there will still be air in it. However I think the problem is in the clutch master cylinder ---piston rubbers leaking fluid back to reservoir. Replace the m/cyl with new item and bleed out correctly.

The clutch pedal seems to be very flopy and is not going into gear easily


Can be broken spring on the cluch pedal in side the car, that hold the pedal all the way back for full amount of brake fluid to the slave cylender, can be checked by pulling the pedal all the way up before steping it to the floor and putting in to gear or just look up under the daschbord on the pedal. Can allso be to little brake fluid in container. To check the master cylender rubber, step on the pedal putt in gear with engine running and wait with pedal all the way to the floor, if the rubber is gone the car wil start to go after some time (1/2-1 min or less) To check the slave cylender rubber will be dune the same way and working same way but it will be leaking out and on the floor.

Hi:
If you have bled the system, you are down to either having a bad clutch master cylinder, or a bad clutch slave cylinder. You could eliminate the slave cylinder by removing the line and capping it off, and if you have a firm pressure on the clutch pedal ( don;'t try to push it down, just check for pressure!) then your slave cylinder is bad. If you cap off the line, and bleed the system, and the pedal still has no pressure, then your clutch master cylinder is bad!

New clutch doesn't feel right. Replaced clutch, master cyl and slave cyl and hydraulic line. Bled the line. Its still a little hard to get into gear. The clutch pedal engages the clutch very extremely...


this happens for a while untill everything settles,but the are adjustable slave cylinder rods,even after bleeding the system takes a while to work properly.

Abnormal clutch pedal operation


You've replaced the master, the slave, now I would check to see if the throwout fork will move by hand. If you can move the fork by hand I would say that your pressure plate and or throwout bearing are worn out. First try to just gravity bleed the system. If that doesnt work, it may be time for a clutch, pressure plate, and bearing. The pressure plate spring pushes the pedal back up and depending on how many miles and driving habit those little arms on it break off and just wear out. I hope this helps you.

Problem going into gear


Your clutch system works the same as brakes do. The necessity to bleed tells you that there is a malfunction permitting air into the system. Check where the pedal rod goes into the firewall under the dash, the line itself, and the slave unit (some are inside the bellhousing...look for fluid dripping from bottom to verify if leaking) Not unlike brake master, they can also internally bypass. If you find no leaks, change master. Bleed system and you should be fine

Clutch pedal not diengaging the clutch


You need to check the slave/master cylinders for leaking. Loose pedal means there is no liquid inside, clutch is bleeding. Look under the vihicle for leaks and floore inside tha cabin.
