Try disconnecting the battery for about 20 minutes or so. This could reset the light. If it does not, call the dealer, service department and ask them to tell you how to reset the light.
I hope this helps you.

Fix check engine light on 1998 crown victoria

The light seems to be working fine. If you want to fix the problem that caused the light to come, simply go to any AUTOZONE and they will read the computer codes(s) for you. I feel safe to say however, if this is as much as you know about the issue, knowing the codes and what they mean probably won't help you fix the car. You will need a friend who knows what he is doing or a mechanic to show you what to do.

Check Engine Light On - I replaced EGR valve, EGR vacuum solenoid, there are no leaks on hoses, disconnected positive terminal of battery, light went off but came back 5 miles later, idle speed is 1400 all...

It sounds like a very large vacuum leak..Check hoses around the engine compartment,,and listen for hissing sounds..If nothing found you might have a stuck idle air control...If its drivable take it to autozone...they will scann it for free,,and get the codes out...The EGR system should have anything to do with the 1400 RPM problem...Dont buy anymore parts until you check for leaks and get the codes...And if you get several codes,,dont let them sell you a bunch of parts for all the different codes..Sometimes you can have one problem,,but it can send up several codes...Get the codes and repost what they are

2003 Crown Victoria the overdrive light is flashing and the car will not go over 20 miles per hr

Your Ford is in 'limp mode,' which is designed to protect the engine/transmission from damage when the car's computer detects a problem. You are going to have to check for any codes stored in the cars computer to help determine what is wrong. Most major auto parts stores will scan for trouble codes for free, they will plug a hand held scanner into the cars port, and read any codes. Since the overdrive light is flashing, it is obviously a transmission related problem.

Wrench light, is "Service Engine Soon". Check light indicates there is a stored and current engine computer fault. Often referred to as a DTC,,,Detected Trouble Code. Stop by your Autozone or Advance Auto parts store and they can plug in a scanner that will tell what faults occured and possibly what you can do to take care of the problem,
