No electric power to left door Fuse and relay are good

Check the wire lume that runs from the body to the door inside a rubber bellow. the wires can break from constant moving and I'm not sure what vehicle you have, but this is a defect for a few vehicles out there the wire can be to short in some cases from cost saving manufacturing. It may be necessary to remove the door panel and remove the harness through the wire opening to be able to move the boot far enough to access the broken wire or even just to check it in some cases.
How I like to repair it, is to put a new wire through the entire pivot point and join it inside the door and body where the wire does not move constantly.

Hope this helps

How do I install the exterior front door handle?

Take out inner door handle bezel-1 philips screw. Then remove 2 large screws under inner door handle. The lower light lens can then be removed exposing 2 small philips screws. Remove those and take out light assy and unplug. Use a screwdriver to pry gently on window-lock control switch assy. Remove and unplug. Then gently pry inner door panel off. The inner door handle and cables can be moves by sliding plastic assy back and out. Then you can remove the plastic rainliner exposing the door handle assy. 2 10mm bolts hold it in. Theres also to rods to remove by releasing clips and sliding rods out.

My 2004 Freestar rear door is stuck in the closed and locked position. I must free the lock mechanism to unlock it and open the door. The the screws holding the lock solenoid assembly i place are...

there is a rod that connects the solenoid to the lock assy. from inside the van you can move it with your hand or pliers and then open the hatch. you will need to clean up the lock because ther will be corrosion and then use a white grease to lube the whole thing. operate by hand a few times before you close it up. there is an access port by the lock inside the door so you dont need to take the whole panel off.

My 1999 Chevy Silverado 3 door 4x4 power door locks wont unlock the door completely. The switch activates the door lock slide, but only part way. Any recomedations?

check for binding by interior door slide if looks good remove trim ring around interior handle and on plastic lock slide use a dry lube or graphite if still not releasing remove panel --2 screws in arm rest/door grab than carefully pull straight back starting at bottom corner might need a screw driver to release the plastic clips on panel if u have help once panel is off they can hold panel away or you can push out switch panel and remove door panel out of the way check the lock rod plastic clips for damage and or binding repair or replace problem replace panel -good luck

I am trying to fix a door handle that will not open from outside

Turn the window handle to where you can see a small 1/2" slot rt at its base where it meets the panel.you'll notice a small brass v shaped clip, you'll need hooked pick or something simular to hook this clip and pull it out of its slot, this release's window crank handle. Once this is off the rest of panel is held on by plastic panel clips that pull loose by pulling panel outwards from door ,and also by a few various screws. once panel is off temp. slide window crank back on and crank window all the way up. You then should have clear view of outer door handle. Handle has two rods attached to it,one for lock assy., one for latch release. This is the one you'll be looking at.Most likely you will find rod has came loose due to broken retainer clip at handle,or casting on handle itself has broken off.If clip is broke you can buy new clip at dealer or at some autoparts outlets, replace and reattach rod(make sure rod locks into place). If handle casting is broke will need handle replaced. It is held in place by two 10mm bolts, two rods preeviously mentioned. If handle is body color matched will need color code(on door jam sticker)to order handle from dealer to match.Lock assy will need to be transfered to new handle,it is held in by two spring clips. You notice two holes one on each side of lock, you will need to push release clips inwards through each hole to release lock and slide it out.to install just push down into newhandlle until clips engage. Let me know if you run into problems. Good luck and if this was able to help you please leave me some positive feedback. Thanks and good luck, Joel

Power window stuck

First you remove the window switch assy by prying in and up at the back of the assy. By assy I mean window and door lock bezel and all. The place where you grab ahold to close the door will have 1 maybe 2 screws (can't remember) also under the switch assy I think there is a screw. Some have a screw under the red reflector at the rear of the door. Remove the triangle shaped trim piece at the front top of door panel. Remove the bezel from around the inside door handle. Using a screwdriver (flat tip) at the bottom of the door panel pry the panel out enough to see the clips and pry next to the clip. These clips are strong and you have to pry hard.
