I have a problem with the timing being off on my dodge ram-50. I used to do my own timing however, I have since forgotten how? Please, can someone help?

A carburetor type engine has the pump on the engine near the front on the side--trace the fuel line down. Fuel injected engines have the pump located in the fuel tank.
