Install new gasket on water pump. To prevent dropping the gasket when installing, put sealant in gasket groove. But do not apply to sealing surfaces. Install water pump. Install tensioner, idler and timing belt. Fill engine coolant. Connect negative battery cable. Start engine and check for leaks. Regards, Jeep Brainy

How to change water pump on a 1997 kia sportage

I have replaced several water pumps on different makes but not on a KIA. I recommend you don't learn how to fix it from the internet! Buy a repair manual at the parts store. Best $25 you'll ever spend. Good luck!

What milage should you change the timing belt kia sportage

It's customary to change timing belt and water pump anywhere between 80K-120K miles.  I typically try to get them done on my vehicles before I reach 100K unless I'm having trouble before that.  Hope this helps.  Thanks for an honest rating.

2001 kia rio fuel pump does not work

Are you positive its the fuel pump? Have you tried running the pump with the return line off to see if it pumps fuel? They don't always have to make a noise.
