Should be from inside the trunk.. Undo the pannel molding and you will see how to get to the bulbs from there..

Good luck ;o)

Tail and running lights not working but turn single, brake lights do, check swicth changed it with working one same thing running lights and tail lights dont work

Maybe you have done this already:
  1. Check the bulb(s) it is rare that more than one will burn out at one time, but it happens.
  2. Check fuses
  3. Check for defective relay(s)
  4. Check relay box for power with volt meter.
If none of the above do not work, repost your question; mention that you tried that above.

2000 Nissan Maxima. Headlights work but tail lights won't come on. How do you fix the wiring of this?I have changed the bulbs and nothing. The brake, reverse, and turn signal lights work, so the bulbs...

tail lights work on a different filament than the rest of the lights you mentioned, it is possible both bulbs are burned out for that filament. if not, check the fuses as the tail light circuit in some cars is on a seperate fuse. the remaining possibility could be bad socket contacts.

How do you change the brake light on a 2001 altima? The one in the rear window

There is a round plastic clip on the verticle carpet cover which must first be removed to access the back of the tail light assembly. Squeeze the back side of the clip and pull on the front of the clip until it snaps out. There are then two 5/16 nuts which must be removed. These are hidden by plastic wiring brackets which must be removed from the nut shaft. The light assembly can then be removed - note that there are two allignment posts attached to the assembly which slide thru slots on the out-side of the assembly. Carefully pull or pry backward to remove the assembly from the body of the car. Here you may access the back of the affected bulb. Simply turn to the left and remove/replace the bulb.
