Why did car die while driving on Interstate and will not start back up

When the engine dies all the lights on the dash should come ! It's when the engine is still running an those lights come is when you need to worry ! You need to check for spark an fuel pressure. If no spark probably an ignition module , crankshaft position sensor or distributer module , what ever ignition system it has. If there is spark spray some carburetor clean into the engine , if it try's to start you have a fuel delivery problem , fuel pump , relay ! No Start Diagnostic Basics EricTheCarGuy

2004 JEEP LIBERTY KEEPS COMING UP #6 cyc miss fired.

When I had a misfire and could not find the problem, I would drive my car at night to an area where there were no lights near by. I would leave the engine on and open the hood. You can see if there is any arcing from from your spark plug wires or any electrical wiring to the engine block. Also, you may want to consider this: How long has it been since the spark plug wires were changed?

P0300 code changed spark plugs p0302

Cylinder 2 is misfiring. Spark plug could be faulty or spark plug wire could have broke internally if you didn't replace them at the same time. Swap cylinder 1 and 2s spark plugs clear code and drive again. If Same code comes back plug is good look at wire if code p0301 come up the spark plug is no good

Has a really hard time ideling in drive but not in park and backfires

Something has happened to your spark timing. The back fire comes from the spark being delivered when the intake valve is still open.

94 chevrolet lumina idles good but when you are driving it acts like it wants to die like it isnt getting enough fuel when you come to a stop it wants to die too starts right back up

Hi! As a first course of action please do check the spark plugs. You may have fuel flooding and a faulty spark plugs can't burn the fuel. Have the spark plugs replaced and plug wires for better fuel burning. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

Misfiring while driving

Check the spark plugs, make sure they all seated and are tight. Also change wires. Probably the coil packs, but check the cheaper stuff first.

No gas or spark

Try your inertia switch in the cargo area in back. Its located on the passenger side rear wheel well. Push the button.

Number 6 cylinder misfire

That has to be either a bad plug in the number six cylinger, or a bad spark plug wire. First hook the scanner up and erase the code, then turn it back off. Check both ends of the spark plug wire and if they look okay, make sure they are firmly hooked back up.
Hook up the scanner and start the engine. If the code comes back, I would replace the plug at first, then hook your scanner up before the engine is running and erase the code. Then start the engine. If it comes back, then you know the spark plug wire is the culprit.

Note. If you erase the code and it doesn't come right back, don't be elated. It may take driving it a bit before it comes on again.
