Question about 1998 Chevrolet C1500
Got a 99' 1500 Silverado 4x4 that got stuck in some mud, got it out and the fuel pump went out. I changed that out, and now the trannsmission is haveing a hard time. when i start her up it idles at 1000rpms, naturally she stays at 550 rpms. However when i throw it in any gear she drops back down to 550rpms. When I take of at any speed weather slow or fast it shifts real high and really hard. I have a number of things i could think of being the problem, just need an extra opinion please!
Well i guess check your vaccum lines. Is it always in 4x4 or can u switch out to rear. If so unlock it by putting it in reverse from 4 wheel to 2 wheel then go forward. Maybe you clogged the tranny maybe a flush might help what about the transfer case maybe it needs a good cleaning? just guesses
