2003 Jeep Liberty - no radio sound after replacing the battery

Check all fuses inside and outside of the jeep and also try to disconnect the battery for 3-30 minutes and then hook it back up,and make sure if you have an alarm that its turned off.then try and see if it works then.Remember and try not to arc the battery terminal when you put it back together.

When trying to load a CD the radio displays the message "INITIALIZING" then nothing happens. The radio itself works fine. could it be because I just got the car back from the body shop and the battery was...

That might be true. I'm not sure, but it could be the CD because it's scratched up. it is probably because the battery was disconnected. Hope this helps!?

Please rate solution - Thanks.

Radio works ok, nothing from the cd player its like there is no power to the unit, nothing happens when you insert a disk or press the disk button just dead, any ideas. cheers Nick. ps its a standard...

If the radio works but the CD player doesn't it's something internal to the unit. The radio and CD player get their power source from the same wire that goes into the unit.

My 20004 Nissan maxima radio stopped working. i have no idea what happen, i try putting a cd to see if it was an antenna problem and nothing, AM nothing, what can it be?

Check the fuse for the radio (in the car fuse box first because it's easier - then the radio itself if it still won't work. You have to pull out the unit from its cradle to change the fuse in the back).

Cd player not working

If it were locked it would ask for a code on the radio display, more likely the radio's CD changer is defective, they are very prone to failure.
