Question about Toyota Corolla
I have a 2007 (end) toyota corolla verso 1.6 petrol which has now done 18,000 miles, had first service last year. I have started to notice a clonk/knock (for approx 5 secs) when I start the car and first move forward in 1st gear after that the noise disappears. its quite loud that it can be heard from inside the car. earlier it used to happen only on a cold engine (morning start), but now its happening on every start (if there's a break of about half an hour between - engine cools down). I don't know what it is. I havent noticed any change in fuel consumption, no warning lights are on. Also there is a loud shrill and the car shivers when reversing uphill. This has been happening from the time I took delivery of the car from the dealer. Any advice?
Have the transmission checked, this could be a torque converter issue. It settles down after it starts and fills with fluid again.
