Question about 1992 Ford Crown Victoria
Can I replace a 5/16 inch fuel line on a 1992 Crown Vic with a 1/4 line without constricting the fuel flow. Or does anyone know where I can get an in-line connector that goes from 5/16 inch to 1/4 inch.
I do not recommend doing this.
a 1/4 inch line has a .0491 square inch hole.
a 5/16 inch line has a .0767 square inch hole.
This would result in lowering the flow capacity of the line by over 30%.
You can possibly starve the engine of fuel causing the engine to run lean, which can result in overheating and even worse melting the tops of your pistons in the engine.
Most good automotive stores have many types of brake line and fuel line fittings and adapters you can purchase.
Good luck with your project!
