Question about 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
Dear friend: i think that your terracan is actually running out of fuel even if the guage shows quater, you can also put the old fuel filter back and try it,we did discover some of the new filters sucking air.

Good day. I had similar problem on my Terracan. I found that when it happens, the fuel level is just below the bottom end of the short rubber pipe where it connects to the top of the plastic seive in the fuel tank. I replaced the rubber pipe, and it seems to be working fine now.
To get ot it, you have to remove the left rear seat, remove the cover below the carpet, then disconnect the pipes and wires and undo the fuel level unit situated in the fuel tank. Remove it carefully and then you can easily replace the short rubber pipe. Hope it helps. Enjoy the day. MarioCpt
