That could be a throttle return spring. One hole would be forward of the throttle in front of the carburetor on a baseplate. The other hole would be on the throttle arm at the carburtor. This would mean you would be pulling towards the radiator to shut the throttle. As always make sure it does not bind before you drive it. Good luck

Typically, this spring would help close the throttle. I presume that you can see where on the linkage it should go...

Spring holds the gear back from the flexplate. It's in the back of the covered engage mechanism--see pic below:

Tick in cabrater and hesitates and backfires

A tick in a carburator usually means dirt / loose or broken inrernal parts. Check the filter on the sideof the carb. there should be a short filter where the gas line attaches . with a check valve to prevent drainage . If the carb has never been overhauled it may be time .

Well i am putting my oil pan back on my 1986 300 straight 6 ford 150 and i cant remember where these certain bolt nuts go. I have twelve of them, they should be close to or around the oil pan, they dont go...

possibly on an "inspection cover" that covers your flywheel/clutch area back on the front of the "bell housing"? Some vehicles have a cover in this area so one can inspect the clutch or the torque converter.

97 ford f150 steering column bearings

There is a tool that presses the spring down to allow for the replacement of the clip. It is also used in the removal of the same spring and clip. This is if you are refering to the spring and clip that go on last, after your turn signal switch. If you are referring to the spring that goes around the spline, I would recommend finding a deep well socket of similar diameter than the spring, but big enough to allow the spline entry and use it to depress the spring fully bfore placing the clip
