Question about 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

1 Answer

Right turn signal doesn't work.

Left signal works, lights on dash, front and rear. Hazards work, lights on dash, front and rear. Right signal makes a clicking sound, NO lights on dash, front or rear. Mechanic replaced relay to wiring harness, replaced fuses. Still doing the same thing. What next??

The next step and almost certainly the problem is the turn signal switch, have seen this symptom on other years around yours and switch fixed it.

Hello. So my rear left tail turning signal doesnt work. The front left light just turns on brighter, but doesnt blink. The hazards on front both work, and rear right work. Any suggestions would be...

Ground wire for the rear light. Usually close to the light on older vehicles. Can be all the way up front on newer ones. I usually cut the ground by the plug and run a new wire to any spot on the body.

Cant resolve a blinker issue, Tried the easy stuff.

The signal wire going to the right front has a splice for the dash indicator, a wire branching off from the turn wire and going to the dash. It sounds like that right signal wire is broken or lost a connection before it splices off to the dash, so the problem sounds like it is under the dash, either coming out of the turn signal switch to the flasher or from the flasher to that splice. You may need a multi-meter to check voltages on that wire at various places under the dash. Ascertain which color wire you need to concentrate on. Check for voltage on it with key on and right blinker on-voltmeter will spike to battery voltage, then fall to zero as the flasher breaks voltage continuously, if checked after the flasher. If checked when leaving the turn switch, it should be a continuous signal on that wire. Think you better find a wiring diagram to find the right wire to check. Good luck.

Right front side turn signal does not work replaced all bulbs and checked fuses headlight flashers work when hazards are on front to back except driverside turn signal ,in dash right stays solid left

I don't believe it would be a bad ground for just one light. It could be a wire, a socket connector, or the bulb socket itself. See if the wire has power at the socket when signaling left, with key on. If there is power, probably a bad socket or connector. If no power, check for power coming from flasher-the wire going to front left, or driver's side. If you have power from the flasher, but nothing at the socket, the wire has probably broken.
Good luck.

2005 Pontiac Grand Prix front left turn signal went out, I replaced the bulb and the light comes on but the turn signal still doesn't work. If I have the lights sent on automatic the right parking

Hey I literally just today had the same problem, put a new bulb in the light was on but did not blink!!!! SUPER EASY SOLUTION, you simply have the bulb in too far. I gently pulled mine out a tiny bit and it started working fine... guarantee that's all that's happening to you!!!

The Right Turn Signal comes on, but doesn't blink on my 95 Buick Park Ave. I have a State Inspection coming up and need to get it fixed by this weekend.

It sounds like one of the signal lights is out. The best way to find out is to turn the hazards on and check if they blink. If they do then you might need a turn signal relay.

Good Luck

it sounds like your flasher is going out and if not that then it could be a short in the system
