Its complicated and there are rivets you must drill out and replace(heavy duty ones) but if you are up to here are the steps.

  1. Remove the trim panel and waterproof plastic sheet.
  1. Remove the window frame trim molding.
  2. Remove the glass channel bottom screw.
  3. Remove the vent window frame screws.
  4. Tilt the vent window and glass channel backward and remove it from the door frame.
  5. Remove the door glass attaching stud nut and spring washer.
  6. If equipped with electric windows, disconnect the wiring harness.

Remove the door glass stud

Drill or grind the heads off the regulator rivets and knock the rivets out with a hammer and punch.

Power window regulator rivet locations

  1. Pull the glass upward and out of the door.
  2. Remove the regulator.
  3. Installation is the reverse of removal. The regulator must be attached with special regulator pop rivets (available at autobody supply stores) or bolts and nuts. Tighten the door glass stud nut to 48 inch lbs. (5 Nm); the vent window bottom screw to 84 inch lbs. (9 Nm); the upper vent window screws to 10 ft. lbs. (14 Nm).

good luck

Check wiring harness in between door and body, most likley there is a broken wire in this harness.
To get the window up you will need to remove the panel and apply a power and ground direcly to the moter connector. if it does not go up then reverse the polarity

2001 jeep cherokee - uneven heat. cold air on passenger side. Problem occurs at highway speed. Seems to be OK at slower speeds.

jeep has a problem with the vent doors (which allow heat or cold air to pass into the passenger compartment) these are plastic vent doors, that break very eazy...the dash has to be removed to replace the broken part, which makes this a big dollar item. have both doors replaced, not just the broken one.....sorry...this will be over $500 to fix,

Not usually too difficult, but once you locate it, you'll see. Some are under hood at firewall on passenger side area, and some are right on the housing under dash on passenger side, usually close to blower motor connection.

Check the wiring between the drivers door and the A pillar(the body of the car). Sometimes the harness breaks from opening and closing the door.
