Should be self priming when you turn the ignition on, have you checked for leaks? is the fuel pump running?Did you change out the old o-rings on the filer caps?could it be possible that you may have cross threaded the filter caps without noticing?

No priming. It will do it by itself. It may take 4 or 5 cranks and runs before it reaches fuel regulator. If not, you may have a leak or a faulty regulator

How.do I get fuel to the first filter in my 2005 ford f250 6.0

Not to be a jerk, but you look in the manual. If you don't have one, you order one from any number of online suppliers who will sell you one. I did that for my 2003 Chevy Silverado pickup. If you're going to keep the car, you will eventually need it anyway. . .

check your lift pump it sounds like an intermittent fault related to electrical harness and or a relay going bad also check for technical service bulletins at your local dealer they might have more specific information GOOD LUCK

Fuel filter, fuel filter. Usually in fuel rail under car on frame. When you ran out, you got debris in filter, when did you last change it?

Freelander td4 2005... changed fuel filter primed and started it ran for about 1-2 mins then stopped restarted again after turnning over a few times and then stopped again now it wont start at all have got...

did you install new filter in the right direction??? filters have a "flow arrow" pointing to which way it goes arrow points to the engine...
also did a lot of junk come out of old filter or the fuel line if so dirt is now blocking fuel rails... dirt will now pass through injectors ...

After we changed the fuel filter the truck started for a sec then died and now it wont start..what did we do wrong or how can i fix this problem?

I'm assuming that the vehicle started and ran fine before replacing the filter

a couple of things could have happened here...

1.) when replacing the filter you typically have to prime the system by turning the key on and off about 5 times before trying to start. since you just tried to start it without priming you may have created a vapor lock situation. try cracking the line again to vent the system then prime the system and try to start again

2.) you may have either installed the filter backwards or you just got a bad filter

Car ran out of diesel and wont start

Probably has air in fuel syste. Change the fuel filter as you may have pulled debris from tank when it ran out of fuel, Then you have to prime the system As in get the air out.Not familiar with the fuel filter placement or hoew to bleed the system On this vehicle, Sorry, but I think you will be ok once you get the air out

Fuel filter, and car won't start

If it ran fine before you changed the filter, then did you prime the system before trying to start it? To do this, simply turn the key on but don't crank the starter then back off. Do this three to four times and what this does is builds pressure back in the fuel lines because when you changed the filter you lost the pressure and now will have a air bubble in the lines until you prime it. Hope that helps

FORD DIESEL WILL NOT START

This system should be self priming, however if it did run out of fuel, I highly recommend changing the filters. After doing so have an assistant turn key to run as you listen for fuel lift pump running,(under drivers side floor attached to frame, one of the fuel filters is part of pump, the other filter is on top of engine) Could have hurt pump by running dry. They are notorious for hard start after filter change and/or out of fuel.Hope this helps.

Cant get my fuel filter to prime after changing it

This filter should prime in seconds! My guess is that it ran very low on gas, this clogged the filter and ruined the fuel pump. Sorry for the bad news. Frankster016
