02 Audi a4 losing power

Hi i have 02 audi a4 slimline. on motorway going 70 mph and to past a car dropped it down to fourth gear probly hit 90mph. Drove for a further hour and a half, and hear a bang under car. car started to loose power. was drivable but hissing noise coming out of it when accelerating. Black smoke coming out of it also. Not a great amount. Feels like turbo not kicking in. Would this be that the turbo has blown of maybe burst pipe or something. If anyone can share a light on this i would be very greatful. Cheers

You have blown a turbo charge pipe somewhere, check all hoses...Once this happens the car will begin to run very rich, as evidenced by the black smoke. Do not continue to drive like this, as the raw unburned fuel in the exhaust will clog the catalysts and that can be very expensive.

It isnt piping, The external controller for your internal wastegate is blown, Since the boost can escape or isnt being held, your car should be in safe mode, usually sounds like turbo is starting to spool then stops, There isnt supposed to be an aftermarket diaphram available for the K03 but i hvae seen them on ebay. If the wastegate itself is still intact then replacing the controller and clearing the maf/o2 codes along with that should get you out of safe mose and solve the problem. If u can find an aftermarket wastegate controller, one from a 300zx works and improves response a bit.

My 2001 audi a4 2.8 tranny hesitates revers, third and fourth

This sounds to be the orings in the solenoid package. Nobody just replaces the orings. Put some tranX in the transmission, this is a oring reconditioner, it costs about $10.00 to15. .
My transmission was dropping out of gear and I used this and with three days it quit slipping. thats been almost two years ago.

Hi There, My Freelander loses power at about 70 mph on hills on motorways and slows down to 60-ish. I have no warning lights coming on, no drop in revs, no exhaust smoke and no overheating. After easing...

if your vehicle slows from 70 downto 60 with no change in revs ,then the transmission is slipping .. imust say i dont believe that the speed drops back without the revs dropping down too, i am not calling you a liar ,i`m saying you are not making accurate observations , and without those we are just guessing .

Battery voltage is very high when driving over 14

Voltage regulator is going bad. Have alternator tested or go ahead and have it replaced. Also this would be a good time to have the battery tested. Usually an alternator that is over charging will "cook" the battery causing it to not charge, not hold a charge, to losing the gel/electrolyte solution due to boil out.
