HI. this is a simple fix here. You will need to replace the flasher module. it has failed. This module is responsible for the flashing actions of the hazard lights.

What controls the turnsignal? is it the body contro module?

No. The hazard switch is what makes the lights blink. So if you use the turn signal and the light comes on solid or doesn't blink. Replace the hazard switch..

I have an 02 kia sportage. my signal lights come on but dont blink outside. no lights for the signal lights come on on the dash at all. also, no hazard lights.

If the 15A HAZARD fuse in the passenger compartment fuse box is OK, power is getting to the hazard function of the flasher unit. Pressing the hzard switch should cause the hazard lights to flash. HOWEVER, there is an electronic time and warning indication system module connected to to the hazard switch lead and that may be affecting things. If the 10A TURN fuse is OK, power is applied to the turn switch (with the engine in START or RUN) and you state you can select a right or left turn. HOWEVER, the RED/WHT and RED/BLU outputs from the flasher unit connect directly to the front and rear turn lamps and the instrument cluster turn indicators so you are not getting any flasher output. Again, that electronic time & warning indication system module could be affecting things

83 Chevy S10 - the right blinker just stays lit, won't blink and no lights come on the right side at all.

put the hazard lights on and see if they all blink, if not, check the bulbs that dont blink. if all blink, (front and rear), the turn signal switch could be bad. putting the hazard lights on, checks the bulbs and wiring.

you could have a bad flasher unit causing say hazard/flasher not you mean just the signals not working and think the hazards won`t work or are the hazards not working.there are two flasher units one for signal and one for could have a problem with the signal switch as well.

Two days after taking my 2003 Forester in for a new radiator, the tail lights and parking lights started staying on when the car was turned off and the switch for the lights was turned off. I found the...

Did you check the switch on top of the steering column? It will turn on your parking lamps separately from the headlamp switch, and it is in the customary position for a hazard flasher switch on Japanese cars - maybe someone bumped it by accident or turned it on when trying to get the 4-way flashers to work.

1998 Forester. Changed the fuse for the door

have you tried disconnecting the battery, maybe the system needs reset, and this is normally the easiest way to do it.....if this doesnt work, then you either have a faulty relay, or an earthing problem......

Emergency lights stuck and won't shut off

Suspect faulty flasher relay. Relay is somewhat like an "On/Off" switch. If it fails, it will stick ON or your cause it is ON allowing the hazard lamps to work continuosly without enabling the hazard switch. If the relay is tested good then replace hazard switch.

Hazard lights flashing

I have a 97 subaru outback and encountered the same problem. It is a security device on all newer subaru's. After changing or charging the battery, leave the negetive battery cable disconnected. Turn the key to the "on" position, then reconnect the negative terminal. This will stop the flashing.
