Is it my transmission or a computer problem??

I have a 94 regal custom. when i put it in drive, it goes but then slides out. feels like its in neutral cause the when you hit the gas, it just revives up. if i cut it off for about 7 seconds then put it in drive, it goes but then does the same thing. it reverses but when you put it in drive, sometimes it stutters then kicks in. whats my problem??

1992 buick regal won't start in the mornings after sitting overnight. when i try it in the early afternoon it starts right up

Next time it happen.

Put your foot on the brake, shift the gear selector to neutral "N" and start the car.

There is a switch call neutral safety switch and it can be intermittent.

If you can start the car in "N" and not in "P" then neutral safety switch is at fault.

Replace it as soon as possible to prevent damage to the wiring and transmission computer.

Is a '94 Buick Regal GS front or rear-wheel drive?

Better still find a peugeot 307 or a ford focus all with manual transmission, and a high fuel economy so the rag heads can drink crude and live in the desert and ride camels

94' Ford Probe Automatic Transmission fluid check question

The car needs to be running with the transmission warm, (drive around for at least 10 minutes) Place the car in neutral. Pull the stick wipe it off and place it back in the transmission. Reads just like an oil stick, want fluid in the safe range (checked pattern) area.

1994 Buick Regal "shudders" while driving/ won't always up-shift

It is a 24 year old vehicle (made in 94), it probably needs to retire :>)

Take it to a transmission specialist rather than a normal garage, as it sounds like a sensor problem. It may also be rubber mountings that have perished, and the engine and transmission are only partially mounted to the chassis.
