1992 pontiac grand am totally dead,

Hi

When i went to start my car this morning, I turned the key and it was totally dead. It does nothing. I turned the key on again and the dash lights slowly started coming on and the idiot bell tried to ding....but totally weak. Is this the battery? I had no indication it was bad...is that normal? I within the last year replaced the alternator...but the battery is about 6 years old? please help

IF YOUR BATTERY CONNECTIONS ARE CLEAN AND TIGHT THEN I WOULD SAY THE BATTERY IS THE PRIME SUSPECT. YOU MAY WANT TO TAKE IT OFF CAR AND CHARGE IT UP THEN HAVE IT TESTED AT YOUR LOCAL PARTS STORE. HOPE THIS WAS HELPFUL!

Key wont turn front or back in my pontiac grand am 95 it was working fine in the morn then went to turn my car on at lunch and key wouldnt turn any advice?

sometimes if the steering wheel locked with pressure on it ( like being parked on an incline with the wheels turned or with the front tires against a curb the steering wheel locking pin will make it difficult to turn the ignition not saying this is in your case can also try wiggling the keep in and out up and down (gently as to not snap the key off) while try to turn it forward

My 2006 Grand cherokee is completely dead all of the sudden. It was fine this morning. I went into the garage and it is completely dead. No dash lights, can't unlock/locl the doors with the key etc. It is...

Sounds more like a bad connection at the battery. Remove the terminals and clean them and then see what you have. If it starts, good. If not you want to check the battery voltage using a meter, then re-charge, test the battery, then the charging system. If everything is ok, test the system for draw.(something staying on, even if you did not turn it on) You need an ammeter to do that.
There are fuses you should also test inside the power distribution center near the battery also.
If you need more help on a specific item, just ask.

2002 Pontiac Grand prix wont start; unable to remove key

On many cars, if the battery is dead, it locks the key in the ignition. Put a battery charger on the car or replace the battery and give it a shot.

Good luck.

Check the connections at the battery. Be sure they're clean and tight.

Engine won't start!!!!!

It's possible the "anti-thielf" system has been failing and went out while you was driving. If the ignition key has a chip in the shaft of the key your car has anti-thieft. It's possible the system doesn't reconisethe igntion key and shut the system down. Try using another igntion key if it came with 2 keys. If the engine started you'll need to get the other igntion key replace.
