Question about 2006 Fiat Strada

Leaking water cooling system - drips when cold

I have an 06 4x4 manual petrol fiat panda with a leak from the coolong system.
It has been to the dealer and they have replaced the water pump but it still leaks.
We have removed the sump guard and can see that water is coming from above the oil filter, dripping down and collecting in the sump guard. There is no dripping when the engine is running or the system is hot, only when it is cold.
When I reverse my car out of the garage the water runs out and dribbles down my drive, which is on a steep slope.

My Falcon Futura 1995 1/ oil leaking from ?? and dripping on road, about one litre per two months 2/ Radiator boils after about 30 minutes - I top water every time I drive car - Rose

A couple of VERY serious issues Rose Chapman,

The oil could be leaking for a reason as nice as a poorly tightened OIL FILTER... but more likely a failed engine gasket...

But since you casually dropped the information that you are USING ONLY WATER as a COOLANT...

You have much more critical issues to tend...!!

If you plan on addressing these issues yourself...
you will need to beg, borrow or buy a STANT
cooling system pressure tester.

Likewise a COMPRESSION TESTER.

Use these items to determine a health BASELINE
to JUSTIFY the MAJOR EXPENSES looming
immediately in your future..

Regularly NOT using proper anti-freeze encourages ELECTROLYSIS which will literally EAT the lessor
metals away from your engine...

Typically engine heads and "FREEZE" plugs first.

Bad fan switch(Fan is not going on )Cloged radiator.Loose water pump belt.Water pump leaking/damaged blades.Incorect water blead/refill(air in the system).Bad water temp sensor.Last:bad head gsket. will show oil/petrol in the water(by filling the system with air also will make cooling much difficult).Cracked head will make white smoke (vapor) in the exhaust).Creamy white oil is from pistons head problem (water in oil)

Water leaking under car

You sure it isn't the condensate from the Air conditioner?
You should have antifreeze in the radiator, not just water.
If this is clear water,it's probably condensate and no problem.
BTW,if you weakened your antifreeze solution by adding water to it,you might want to check if the freeze point is still around 30-40 below zero Fahrenheit. don-ohio (:^)

Mazda MPV 1995 Engine over heats after traveling 2 miles. I found out that water/coolant in the radiator leaks. I will highly appreciae your advice.

you will have to fill the cooling system and get all the air out of the system at the same time you can see if you notice a leak anywhere(dripping of liquid)and if so trace were the fluid is leaking out of.once the cooling system is full pressure test the system and see if you see a leak and find were its leaking.once you find whats leaking then you will know what you need to fix it.

Sounds like you do.

With the engine cold top off the radiator with coolant. Start the engine allow it to warm up. Look for any drips or wet spots from cooling system components. Things like Radiators and water pumps would be fairly common. Pin holes in hoses or leaking gaskets may be a little harder to spot.

The make a tool called a cooling system pressure tester that will pressurize the cooling system to make it easier to spot leaks.

Also most shops will check the cooling system for a moderate fee. Once you know what is leaking you can decide if you want to tackle it yourself or let them handle the repair.

Fiat seicento 2000 reg keeps overheating after going 5 or so miles, light comes on then grumbling and water from expansion tank. had new radiator switch put on, took fan off and tested-works ok- but not...

This may be a puzzle...
The seicento (I drive the same car) likes to create problems in the heater section of the cooling system. The small pipes to it (behind the carburator) may be blocked or the entire heater may simply be dirty. Flushing the system with a water hose may help. Usually this problem starts slowly and goes away if you re-start the engine and then excellerate a few times. Check if your heater blows hot air - if yes, and if he keeps blowing hot air (does not cool down and get cold) ther is no blockage. If you have a blockage, your heater will only blow hot for a little while and then comes normal cool air - if this is the case, you have a blockage right in your heating system which runs your cooling system hot and the cap of your cooling tank will start leaking. This is a comon problem on older Seicentos....
Other general problems can also be the case, like defective thermostat, fan motor does not come on (check fuse and relais first).
In some cases, ther might be some air trapped in the cooling system and doing the above will also cure it. At last, check if your water pump is working.
Regards
Herbert

Water leak from back of engine

Water leak, this is from the air conditioning system and will drip water when ac is on, this is mormal. but if your leaking coolant thats a diffrent story, then you may have a leaking waterpump or maybe a bad hose, you will need to preasure test the cooling system.
