Are you one of those people who TOP OFF the tank when filling up?

When the EVAP recovery system soak with few ounce of gasoline......the trap vapor will take few days escape.

EVAP system is design to handle fuel vapor. Few ounce of gasoline can damage the fuel vapor recovery relay and decrease the service live of the recovery lines.

=========

You can accelerate the process by locating the charcoal canister (near the nose of the car and same side as your gas filler door)

MOVE the car to outdoor.

Disconnect the EVAP line and let it air out by itself.

DO NOT introduce any heat source or fan to speed up the process.

Reconnect this EVAP hose and use a small amount of starting fluid at the intake manifold.

Where is fuel filter on 1988 ford bronco?

I believe you will find your fuel filter on the driver side frame rail. There is also a little device that in the event of a roll over cuts off the power to the fuel pump. It is usually located in the passenger side kick panel of most Ford's. There is a button on it. If it is popped out you need to press it in to reset it. It is similar to a GFI. Ground fault interrupt circuit.

1996 bronco starting

Need to find out if there is spark while cranking first. Check at the coil wire first then at a plug wire.If there is spark at the coil and not at the plug the fault is the rotor or dist. cap.If there is no spark at all, suspect the ign. module. If there is good spark move on to the fuel pressure check. It needs about 40 lbs. to run.

98 Ford F150 w/4.6l Wont start. Hear fuel pump click. Have pressure on fuel rail. Pulled #1 plug from head and plugged back into wire. Grounded plug and cranked. No spark. Changed wires 4 and 7 four days...

have diagnostic codes checked to see if you have a cam or crank sensor fault. make sure fuel pressure is at the required pressure, just testing to see if you have fuel at the valve is not enough. replace all spark plug wires. if you replaced two then all are just as old and even when they "look good" does not qualify as "they are good". Replace coil pack. start up drive away happy

Was driving and felt it loose power i pulled over put it in park and it stalled when i try to crank it it will fire for a minute the die i checked fuel pump its pumping good got a new relay and presure...

It sounds like you have already checked the fuel supply system, but did you check to make sure you are getting ignition/spark at the plugs? After the engine cools down does it then start and drive? Hairline cracks will cause problems as the engine heats up and that sounds like what you are experiencing.

1989 Bronco fullsize has sat for the past 6 years and wont start, will turn over, has new gas with fuel stabilizer, still no firing. Replacing spark plugs and the fuel pump are the next two steps. ...

Assuming she ran good before she sat, replacing the plugs, cap and rotor isn't a bad idea.Step 1: Make sure you have good spark. No need to worry about timing right now. Step 2: If you have spark, then we have to see if its getting gas. There are two fuel pumps on this Bronco. One in tank and one on the frame rail. Can you hear either one running? The in tank one should come on for a few minutes and shut off. The front one is harder to hear.If you hear it, borrow or rent a FUEL PRESSURE GAUGE and check your fuel pressure. There is a fitting similar to a tire valve on fuel rail. Pressure should remain constant. If either pump fails you will not get adequate fuel flow. The front pump is easy to get to for trouble-shooting. Don't buy anything unless your sure you will need it. Hope this helps.

Our ford bronco will not run new fuel relay, fuel punp works, new spark plugs, new filters, changed oil, we have spark, and compresion no fuel

Check to see if you have a Throttle Position Sensor. This would be on the Airhorn and works with the throttle butterfly. It is about the size of a butane lighter and has 1 electric connector and 2 screws.

This part sets the spark and fuel for the throttle position.

2001 ford escort. engine turns over but will not start. pulled the plugs and motor gets good compression, replace plugs and wires, still nothing, then i put new timing belt-still nothing, checked fuel filter...

The engine needs three things to run, fuel, air and a spark at the right moment. Check the static timing of the motor, if those marks line up. You did not say you were getting any spark at the plugs. If you have spark, then try a little starting fuild into the intake while turning it over. If you have fuel delivery to the cylinders, the spark is coming at the right moment then it should be running. Any error codes set?

1989 Ford Bronco 5.0 engine will not crank. Replaced fuel filter and fuel pump, but still will not start. Engine turns over and will try to crank with starting fluid.

Timing is everything. Try testing you PCM. It's the little gray box near the base of your distributor. If you have spark, and fuel at the rail (plus good fuel rail pressure) than the timing is your problem.

Check the pet-**** on the fuel rail assembly to make sure the fuel at the rail is under presure and getting to your injectors. Then again make sure you have spark, lastly you should be able to test the trouble codes to see if your PCM is the issue.
Goos luck.
